Sally (Schooner) logbook, 1768-1769.

The logbook of the schooner Sally details three shipping voyages from Newburyport, Mass., to the West Indies with stops at Barbados, Dominica, Saint Eustatius, and Saint Lucia between Aug. 1768 and Dec. 1769. Michael Hodge was the logbook keeper; Hodge and Jonathan Boardman were the shipmasters. The logbook includes details of the ship's equipment and supplies (provisions), inventories of the cargo, an incident of disorderly conduct and a death on board, details of the naval medicine practiced on board and shipboard occupations.
